Hiske

Hiske is a beautiful 100% black 5 year old mare, with plenty of straight, silky mane and tail hair.  Her movement is floating, elastic and comes naturally beneath her- we think her dressage potential is exciting as her natural balance is evident.  We love the proportions of her face- being a paternal sister to our favorite gelding Dickens, it's easy to see their resemblance thru the eyes and shape of head.

Although her permanent place is in our broodmare herd, we began Hiske's formal training this year. She wowed the crowds in the Fell Pony Breed Demo at Midwest Horse Fair 2008; took the Grand Championship In-Hand M&M Pony at Bit of Wales Show; and showed promise in her under saddle work. She is expecting a foal by Littletree Bodini in May 2009, already sold.

We are excited to have a Sleddale Eddie daughter, and Hiske's maternal line offers a combination of Townend, Waverhead and Heltondale lines- a classically bred mare.
