We selected Heidi to join our herd in the fall of 2021, chosen from the Greenholme Stud Reduction sale. Luck was with us as we were the high bidders on this gorgeous mare with proven bloodlines, proven broodmare capability, exceptional type and conformation.
Heidi is a pony truly raised on the fells of Cumbria her entire life, and there are not many breeders in North America who have  imported a mare that was raised to adulthood in a semi-feral herd. Notably different than working with a hill bred weanling, a mare like this carries the wisdom of her ancestors in her eyes, and has survival skills and self-preservation beyond just being Cumbrian born. Yet her sensibility and kind nature, which the breed is known for, prevails. She is one of my favorite mares to spend time with.

Heidi had run with Greenholme Diego the summer of 2021, and in 2022 delivered a one of a kind gorgeous filly we named Cumberland Moneypenny. Her pedigree runs deep with exceptional ponies, who not only won in the ring due to type and movement, but have created generations of progeny following in their footsteps.
