I imported Babysham as a two year old, direct from her breeders the Woolleys of Littletree Stud. I saw her as a yearling, & had met her sire Guards Jester personally on a previous trip to England. Her mother Lunesdale Shamrock had also been a favorite of mine, & now resides in Canada.
Babysham has everything I look for in a Fell Pony: correct conformation, exceptional type, a kind & loving face, true & balanced movement, exceptional pedigree, & of course an easy going & amiable personality. The icing on the cake is loads and loads of hair & feather, which she passes to her foals! She gets along well in the herd, and is a wonderful mentor to the younger ponies.
Most recently, her sire, Guards Jester, won the coveted Supreme Championship Senior M&M In-Hand Class at the prestigious Olympia Show in the UK. Quite an honor!
Babysham was trained to lines in 2009, and had a filly, DreamHayven Decadence (sire Littletree Bodini) in 2010. She foaled easily & was a caring mother, as most Fells are.
Her pedigree is a blend of Guards & Lunesdale, but also offers several Adamthwaite ponies, a prefix which is becoming increasingly hard to find. Babysham was her mother's only foal.
In 2013, Babysham was trained to saddle, worked as an ambassador the entire summer at Bristol Renaissance Faire, and took second in the 2013 National Fell Pony awards program, the PPA sponsored by FPSNA, in the Ambassador Pony division. She foaled a filly by Stennerskeugh Danny Boy in 2015, a filly by Danny in 2016 (whom we retained for our breeding program), a colt by Danny in 2017, a colt by Danny in 2018, a filly by Danny in 2019 and is expecting again in June 2020.
