DreamHayven Aurora
f. 2006, Black Filly
S. Sleddale Eddie x
D. Corrennie Afton
(S. Midtown Jasper)
We chose to name this filly Aurora for the name's meaning- the dawn, or new day.  This filly was a first for us in so many ways- the first Dream Hayven foal, the first Fell Pony born in Wisconsin, the first Fell Pony we sold.  Now, she's the first we've ever bought back, as we became her owners the second time around in February 2008.

DreamHayven Aurora was the first Fell we had seen by Sleddale Eddie, and out of our own cobby Scottish mare Corrennie Afton, who is an invaluable broodmare in personality and type.  Since then, we have added two more Fells by Sleddale Eddie to our herd; we are convinced their loving personalities must be hereditary!

Aurora is solid black, and qualifies as one of our 'hair mares', as she has just tons of it, even for a Fell.  Aurora started her training as a two year old, and did extremely well.  She continued with new experiences as a three year old, including being bred to our stallion Littletree Bodini for a June 2010 foal.
